Most people are increasingly relying on digital information, including email, documents, websites, spreadsheets digital cameras or digital music, online or mobile. By now we have important bits of our “digital” life everywhere, from multiple computers and PDAs, to cellphones, storage devices and even online services.
No wonder we're all feeling a bit scattered. No wonder we’re feeling a little worried that bits may vanish without a trace.
The PiWorx team believes that we all deserve better. To enjoy your digital life, individuals should:
- Be able to organize and access their digital content wherever and whenever they need, regardless of the device on which it was first created;
- Have simple, easy ways to share all their digital content with others;
- Be in control of their own data without having to worry about unscrupulous companies “crawling” their information for marketing purposes; and
- Not have to deal with the hassles of safeguarding their own digital information any more than they should have to worry about safeguarding the money in their bank accounts.
At PiWorx, we’ve assembled a dream team of top engineering and programming talent from around the world, all working toward one, important goal: To develop a service that gives individuals unprecedented control over how they store, organize, access and share all their digital content.
We are currently testing the core technologies in an engineering beta and would love your help in getting the service ready. This engineering beta test includes several (though not all) of the basic features we plan to roll out next year. It also has a preliminary user interface that is likely to change dramatically by the time we launch the service. But the core functionality is there and we are eager for feedback from users worldwide. If you are interested in helping us, download the application, upload your digital data, and let us know what you think via our online forum.
We are counting on feedback from people like you to solve one of the most pressing problems facing computer users today.
Warmly,
The PiWorx Team
